THE VOICE BEHIND THE SCREEN

Leanne Crawshaw

Instructional Design Consultant | Lecturer | International Speaker | Mentor

Leanne is currently employed as an Instructional Design consultant in Adult & Vocational Education and draws on her experience as a professional designer and qualified educator to create student-centred learning, underpinned by adult learning theories and pedagogy.

Working as a Lecturer in the creative industries Leanne has witnessed a strong push to incorporate 21st Century skills,  with creativity considered to be one of the most important skills for the workplace.  Technology is the bridge, not the barrier to teaching digital literacy skills required for the 21st century to maintain global competitiveness.

This website was developed during the study of a master of Education, specialising in digital technology at Charles Sturt University. The creation of this site is to provide a platform to share content and information to educators to promote digital literacy skills and create student-centred learning through active learning.

As an educator, the famous quote by John Dewey in 1916 is a key philosophy of Leanne's instructional design strategies.
